Understand Cold Front
Useful when…
- Use Snow Globe attached to Frost while benefiting from the stated mobility increase.
- Build Globe health through kills on frozen enemies.
Effect and recovery
Cold Front changes Snow Globe so it is attached to Frost, has a smaller radius, and increases mobility. Kills on frozen enemies increase Globe health by 1% per kill at rank 0, 3% at rank 2, and 4% at rank 3.
Slot and other Frost augments
It is a Frost Exilus augment with Zenurik polarity, maximum rank 3, and base drain 6. Chilling Globe is explicitly incompatible and gives enemies that enter a 50% chance to freeze for 10 seconds. Biting Frost lists critical bonuses against frozen enemies. Freeze Force adds Cold damage to allies' attacks when cast as described. These other augments have distinct effects.
Fusion costs
Example costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 credits for rank 0→1, 60 Endo and 2,898 credits for rank 1→2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 credits for rank 2→3. The listed health increase per qualifying kill rises from 1% at rank 0 to 4% at rank 3.
Conditions and tradeoffs
Globe health increases on kills of frozen enemies. The attached Globe's radius is described as smaller, and the mod occupies an Exilus slot. It cannot be equipped with Chilling Globe.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The attached Globe has a smaller radius and increases mobility.
- Globe health recovery requires kills on frozen enemies.
- It occupies an Exilus slot and is incompatible with Chilling Globe.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming any kill increases Globe health.
- Ignoring the stated smaller radius when considering the attached Globe.
- Trying to equip it with Chilling Globe.
