Understand Conic Nozzle
Useful when…
- Railjack configurations seeking a general speed increase.
- Pilots comparing general speed with conditional cruising speed or boost speed.
Effect and fit
Conic Nozzle grants up to +25.5% Railjack Speed at rank 5. It is a standard Plexus mod with Vazarin polarity, base drain 6, and five ranks.
How it differs from alternatives
Cruising Speed provides +110% Railjack Speed only when no enemies are within 3000m. Ion Burn provides +45% Railjack Boost Speed, which specifically concerns boosting. Ordnance Velocity instead increases ordnance projectile speed. Choose based on which action or condition is relevant; their bonuses describe different behaviors.
Rank and drain
The listed speed bonus rises from +4.3% at rank 0 to +25.5% at rank 5. The final rank costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. Rank it when the general speed gain is worth that investment and Plexus capacity; lower ranks provide a smaller version of the same effect.
Common misread
Do not treat Conic Nozzle's listed value as a boost-speed bonus or as ordnance projectile speed. Those are separately described effects on the comparison mods.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses Plexus capacity and costs Endo and Credits to rank.
- Its general speed effect differs from conditional cruising and boost-specific bonuses.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the bonus as boost speed or ordnance projectile speed.
- Ignoring Cruising Speed's condition that no enemies be within 3000m.
