How does the aiming condition work?
The mod grants both critical chance and critical damage only when aiming. Its bonuses are +10% at rank 0, +40% at rank 3, and +60% at rank 5.
Fit and alternatives
Critical Focus is a standard Archgun mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 6. Marked Target also requires aiming, but adds status chance rather than critical stats. Resolute Focus adds stagger and knockdown resistance plus accuracy while aiming. Parallax Scope adds critical chance without an aiming condition in its description. These alternatives address different needs and their listed values should not be treated as directly equivalent.
Rank priorities
The maximum rank is 5. Rank 3 gives +40% to both critical stats, while rank 5 gives +60%. The step from rank 4 to 5 costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. Consider stopping earlier if you do not often aim or if a smaller conditional bonus is enough for the build.
