Understand Resolute Focus
Useful when…
- Archguns used while aiming
- Archgun setups that value accuracy and resistance to stagger or knockdown while aiming
Aiming effects
Both benefits require aiming. At maximum rank, Resolute Focus gives +100% chance to resist staggers and knockdowns and +50% accuracy while aiming. Rank 0 provides +17% resistance chance and +8% accuracy; rank 3 gives +67% and +33%, respectively.
Fit and rank investment
This is a standard Archgun mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Ranking raises both aiming benefits; the listed fusion examples show larger Endo and credit costs at higher steps. Invest when you expect to aim frequently enough to use both effects. Its described benefits are utility effects, whereas some alternatives add offensive stats.
Compare by purpose
Critical Focus provides +60% Critical Chance and Damage when aiming, and Marked Target gives +120% Status Chance when aiming; these are offensive alternatives with the same stated aiming condition. Charged Bullets instead combines +60% Electricity and +60% Status Chance without an aiming condition in its description. Resolute Focus is the option here for aiming accuracy and resistance to interruption, not a listed damage bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its accuracy and resistance bonuses apply while aiming.
- Using the slot for utility means foregoing another mod’s listed offensive stats.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting either effect to apply outside the aimed condition.
- Treating the resistance chance as a guaranteed prevention before maximum rank.
