Marked Target GUIDE

Understand Marked Target

Useful when…

  • Use it on a compatible Archgun when you aim and want additional status chance.
  • Compare its aiming-dependent status bonus with other Archgun effects before spending a mod slot.

Effect and condition

Marked Target grants +20% Status Chance at rank 0, +80% at rank 3, and +120% at rank 5, each while aiming. It is a standard Archgun mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 6, and a maximum rank of 5. The bonus is status chance, not direct damage, and the aiming condition matters.

Choosing among Archgun effects

Critical Focus grants critical chance and damage while aiming, while Resolute Focus grants stagger and knockdown resistance and accuracy while aiming. Charged Bullets grants Electricity and status chance, with no aiming condition stated in its description. These options address different effects; consider Marked Target when its conditional status bonus is the effect you want.

Ranking and listed sources

The listed fusion examples cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for rank 0→1, 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for rank 2→3, and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits for rank 4→5. The listed sources include Gyre Butcher and Gyre Elite Lancer at 0.09% each, and Profit-Taker Phase 3, Rotation C, at 15%. These source entries are separate acquisition routes.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The status chance bonus is conditional on aiming.
  • Using the standard mod slot means forgoing another Archgun mod effect in that slot.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Counting the bonus while not aiming.
  • Treating added status chance as direct damage.
