Understand Damage Decoy
Useful when…
- Cast Decoy on an enemy to apply the augment's stated effects when that decoy is attacked.
- Use the reflected-damage increase in a Loki build centered on Decoy.
How the augment works
Damage Decoy changes Decoy so it can be cast on enemies. Enemies who attack that decoy receive five random Status Effects. The augment also increases reflected damage: +200% at rank 0, +300% at rank 2, and +350% at rank 3. The status application is conditional on enemies attacking the decoy.
Slot and fusion investment
This is a standard Loki mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. Listed rank-up costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for rank 0 to 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for rank 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for rank 2 to 3. The final step adds the stated increase from +300% to +350% reflected damage.
Other Loki augments
Irradiating Disarm affects Radial Disarm, applying Radiation Status for 9 seconds. Safeguard Switch is for Switch Teleport and provides invulnerability under its stated enemy or ally conditions, while Deceptive Bond is a Conclave Decoy augment that transfers 50% of damage between Loki and Decoy. These concern different abilities or a different variant rather than Damage Decoy's effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Enemy status application requires enemies to attack the enemy-cast Decoy.
- Uses a standard mod slot and base drain 6.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the five random Status Effects without an enemy attacking the Decoy.
- Confusing this standard augment with Deceptive Bond's Conclave damage-transfer effect.
