Understand Deceptive Bond
Useful when…
- Redistributing some incoming damage between Loki and Decoy in Conclave.
Effect and condition
At rank 0, 20% of damage Loki takes is transferred to Decoy, and vice versa. Rank 2 raises the transfer to 45%, and rank 3 to 50%. The transfer runs both ways, so damage dealt to Decoy can also reach Loki.
Variant and fit
Deceptive Bond is explicitly a Conclave variant for Loki, with Zenurik polarity, maximum rank 3, and base drain 6. It is not a standard variant. Its damage sharing makes it a specialized choice rather than a simple one-way shield for Loki.
Other Loki augment functions
Savior Decoy is a standard augment that lets Decoy absorb fatal damage to Loki and swap locations, while also increasing Decoy's casting speed. Damage Decoy lets Decoy be cast on enemies; attackers receive five random Status Effects and reflected damage is increased by 350%. Hushed Invisibility reduces weapon noise by 100% while invisible. These have distinct effects from Deceptive Bond's two-way damage transfer.
Ranking and caution
Listed fusion steps cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits from rank 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Rank 3 reaches the maximum stated transfer of 50%. The mod is explicitly incompatible with Savior Decoy.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Damage sharing works in both directions, so Decoy damage can transfer back to Loki.
- The mod is a Conclave variant and is explicitly incompatible with Savior Decoy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the transfer as one-way damage reduction for Loki.
- Assuming this Conclave mod is the standard Savior Decoy augment.
- Attempting to equip it with its explicitly incompatible Savior Decoy.
