Effect and fit
Deep Freeze gives +15% Cold at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at rank 5. It is a standard pistol mod with Vazarin polarity, maximum rank 5, and base drain 6.
Ranking tradeoff
The listed costs are 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits from rank 4 to 5. The later investment raises the Cold bonus, reaching +90% at maximum rank.
Related pistol options
Flawed Deep Freeze reaches +20% Cold at rank 3 and has base drain 2, but it is explicitly incompatible with standard Deep Freeze. Accelerated Isotope offers +60% Radiation and +40% Fire Rate, a different elemental and firing-rate combination. Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod with a zoom effect while aim gliding, not an elemental damage alternative.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The maximum Cold bonus requires higher fusion investment and costs more base drain than the flawed variant.
