Effect and fit
Flawed Deep Freeze gives +5% Cold at rank 0, +15% at rank 2, and +20% at rank 3. It is a flawed standard-slot pistol mod with Vazarin polarity and base drain 2. It is explicitly incompatible with Deep Freeze.
Fusion investment
It has maximum rank 3. Listed fusion costs are 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from rank 1 to 2, and 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Maximum rank reaches the stated +20% Cold bonus.
Alternatives and exclusion
Standard Deep Freeze provides up to +90% Cold and has base drain 6, but it is explicitly incompatible with this flawed version. Accelerated Isotope instead provides +60% Radiation and +40% Fire Rate. Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod that reduces zoom while aim gliding, so it does not serve the same elemental-damage role.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The flawed mod has a lower maximum Cold bonus than standard Deep Freeze.
- The lower base drain comes with a lower maximum rank and bonus.
