Understand Enemy Radar
Useful when…
- Finding enemies on the minimap during combat or exploration.
- Providing a squad-wide enemy radar bonus through an Aura slot.
Effect and rank scaling
The mod's listed effect is highlighting enemies on the minimap. Its rank effects provide the squad +5 Enemy Radar at rank 0, +20 at rank 3, and +30 at rank 5. This is a detection aid; it does not reduce enemy armor or shields.
Slot and investment
Enemy Radar is a Naramon-polarity Aura mod with base drain -2 and maximum rank 5. The example rank 4-to-5 upgrade costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits, increasing the rank effect toward +30 Enemy Radar. The higher rank is most relevant when the extra radar range is useful to the squad.
Choosing a different minimap or combat effect
Loot Detector shows loot crates on the minimap, so it serves a different search purpose. Corrosive Projection reduces enemy armor by 18%, while Shield Disruption reduces enemy Shield Capacity by 18%. Choose among these based on whether you want enemy locations, loot crate locations, or the stated faction defenses reduced; they are not equivalent radar effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It detects enemies rather than loot crates.
- Its effect provides location information, not a direct armor or shield reduction.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Enemy Radar to reveal loot crates.
- Choosing it for armor or shield reduction rather than minimap detection.
