Loot Detector GUIDE

Understand Loot Detector

Useful when…

  • Finding loot crates while exploring a mission.
  • Providing a squad-wide Loot Radar bonus through an Aura slot.

What does Loot Detector reveal?

The mod's description says the minimap shows loot crates. Its rank effects specify Squad receives +5 m Loot Radar at rank 0, +20 m at rank 3, and +30 m at rank 5. This is loot detection, not an enemy-highlighting effect.

Aura fit and investment

Loot Detector is an Uncommon Standard Aura mod with Naramon polarity and maximum rank 5. Listed rank-up costs are 20 Endo and 966 Credits from 0 to 1, 80 and 3,864 from 2 to 3, then 320 and 15,456 from 4 to 5. Rank it higher when the additional listed Loot Radar range is valuable to your crate-searching. The supplied source list includes Duviri Endless at Tier 1 and Tier 3 on Normal difficulty.

Distinguish other Aura effects

Enemy Radar highlights enemies on the minimap, so it addresses enemy awareness rather than crate detection. Aerodynamic provides reduced damage while airborne and extends Aim Glide and Wall Latch; Brief Respite has an ability-cast trigger, but the supplied comparison description does not state its numeric effect. These are separate Aura functions, not direct replacements for Loot Detector's listed loot-crate radar.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Uses the Aura slot for loot detection rather than another Aura effect.
  • Its listed value is crate discovery; it does not provide the enemy detection effect described for Enemy Radar.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Do not confuse Loot Radar with Enemy Radar.
  • Do not assume the mod's listed effect is to collect or open crates.
