Understand Angstrum
Useful when…
- Use the normal attack entries to assess its listed rocket impact and explosion damage.
- Keep the Incarnon Form profile separate from the normal rocket entries.
What the normal attack entries list
Single Rocket Impact lists 200 Blast damage; Single Rocket Explosion lists 250 Blast damage. Both entries list a 0.5-second charge, 16% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 22% status chance. The explosion entry lists a falloff range from 0 to 3.6 m with 40% reduction.
Firing cycle and Incarnon Form
The pistol holds one round and has a listed reload time of 2.5 seconds. Incarnon Form is a separate projectile entry with 30 Heat damage, speed 6, 18% critical chance, a 1.8× critical multiplier, and 18% status chance. No activation condition for that form is specified here.
When another pistol description may matter
Akarius is described as using target-seeking rockets that arm after a safe distance, with faster reload while sprinting. Those handling conditions distinguish its description from Angstrum's charged entries. Stug is described as a sticky, toxic explosive weapon with multiple ejection modes; Synoid Gammacor is described as a defense-focused instrument. These are comparison points, not evidence that they share Angstrum's attack behavior.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The listed charge and one-round magazine, followed by a 2.5-second reload, define a measured firing cycle.
- The explosion entry lists 40% falloff reduction over 0–3.6 m.
- The Incarnon Form entry has different damage and critical/status values from the normal entries, and its activation condition is unspecified.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Adding the listed impact and explosion values into one shot total without knowing how the entries resolve.
- Applying the Incarnon Form values to the normal rocket entries.
- Treating the explosion falloff range as proof of a particular effective radius.
