Understand Baruuk Prime
Useful when…
- Dodging projectiles while not attacking
- Calming or disarming enemies
- Using Serene Storm for radial melee strikes
How does the kit work?
Dodging projectiles, lulling enemies, and disarming them erodes restraint. The passive says that as restraint diminishes, Baruuk becomes more resistant to damage; the maximum value is unresolved. Elude dodges projectiles only while he is not attacking. Lull slows enemies until they sleep, and damage wakes them confused and disoriented. Desolate Hands sends orbiting daggers to destroy enemy guns; combining it with Elude doubles its range. With restraint eroded, Serene Storm delivers radial strikes with fists and feet, and each moment commanding it restores restraint.
When is Baruuk Prime useful?
Lull and Desolate Hands affect enemies while eroding restraint, and Elude dodges projectiles when Baruuk is not attacking. Serene Storm uses eroded restraint to deliver radial melee strikes, then restores restraint while being commanded.
What differs from Baruuk?
Baruuk Prime lists 180 Health, 365 Shield, and 240 Armor, with Naramon, Vazarin, and Madurai polarities. Baruuk lists 180 Health, 270 Shield, and 185 Armor, with two Vazarin polarities. The supplied ability descriptions are shared by both entries.
Conditions to keep in mind
Elude’s projectile dodge applies only while not attacking. Serene Storm restores restraint as it is commanded. The passive’s resistance maximum is unresolved and cannot be stated numerically.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Elude’s projectile dodge requires not attacking.
- Serene Storm restores restraint while active.
- The passive’s maximum resistance is unspecified.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Elude’s projectile evasion while attacking.
- Assuming Serene Storm maintains depleted restraint while active.
- Inferring a numeric resistance maximum from the unresolved placeholder.
