Understand Baza
Useful when…
- Use for accurate rapid fire against targets you can keep on the sight line.
- Consider it when a quiet primary and quick reload matter to your play.
Damage and range behavior
Its Normal Attack is hitscan and deals Impact, Puncture, and Slash damage: 5.76, 6.72, and 3.52 respectively. It lists 26% critical chance, a 3× critical multiplier, and 10% status chance. The attack has 50% damage reduction across its listed falloff from 22 to 34 m, so its high accuracy does not remove the listed range penalty.
Handling and fitting
Baza fires automatically at about 16.67 rounds per second, with 40 rounds and a 1.4-second reload. It has 80 listed accuracy and one Madurai polarity for compatible mod fitting. Its description calls it quiet and agile; its Mastery requirement is 7. These properties favor sustained tracking, while the short magazine means frequent reloads during continuous fire are part of its handling.
When another weapon fits better
Acceltra Prime's comparison description centers on reload speed improving while sprinting, especially with Gauss. Harpak is a harpoon rifle described as firing a burst and being able to spike or reel in enemies. Ruvox is a fist weapon, with heavy slams in its Incarnon form. They address different movement, control, and melee use cases; none is automatically a direct replacement for Baza's quiet hitscan fire.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Damage falls off between 22 and 34 m.
- A 40-round magazine empties quickly at its listed fire rate.
- Listed status chance is 10%.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming high accuracy prevents damage falloff.
- Ignoring the short magazine while holding the trigger continuously.
- Treating the 3× critical multiplier as a high critical chance; the listed chance is 26%.
