Understand Boltor Prime
Useful when…
- Use Normal Attack when projectile bolts and status application are useful.
- Use Incarnon Form as a distinct attack profile rather than assuming it shares the normal bolt damage.
Normal and Incarnon attacks
Normal Attack is a projectile shot traveling at a listed speed of 120. It deals 41.4 Puncture and 4.6 Impact damage, with 12% critical chance, 2× critical multiplier, and 34% status chance. Incarnon Form is another projectile attack, listed with speed 11.33, 2.4 Impact, 14.4 Slash, and 7.2 Puncture damage, plus 24% critical chance, 3× multiplier, and 20% status chance. Evaluate the two profiles separately.
Handling and fitting
Normal fire is automatic at about 10 shots per second, with a 60-round magazine and 2.4-second reload. Its listed accuracy is 50. It requires Mastery Rank 13 and has Vazarin and Madurai polarities for compatible mod fitting. The normal bolts travel at the listed projectile speed, so fast firing does not make them hitscan.
Related weapons
The standard Boltor has a lower Mastery requirement and is also a bolt-firing rifle, but its supplied detailed status chance is 14% versus this weapon's 34%. Amprex instead uses a chaining beam, while Basmu has projectile and held-beam attacks plus its described battery behavior. These comparisons offer different handling choices, not evidence that one weapon is always preferable.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Projectile travel means moving targets may require leading.
- Normal Attack has 12% critical chance despite a 2× multiplier.
- Requires Mastery Rank 13.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Mistaking fast automatic fire for hitscan behavior.
- Using the Normal Attack status chance to describe Incarnon Form.
- Assuming a critical multiplier alone means frequent critical hits.
