Understand Fusilai
Useful when…
- Use full-auto mode when firing rate and the listed 29% status chance are priorities.
- Use semi-auto mode as a separate firing option, noting that its critical and status values are lower in the provided attack entry.
- Consider it on Gara for the described projectile-speed increase.
How do the two modes differ?
Full-auto mode is listed at 2.83 attacks per second, 23% critical chance, a 1.7× critical multiplier, and 29% status chance. Semi-auto mode has a separate listing of 1.5 attacks per second, 3% critical chance, a 1.5× multiplier, and 12.3% status chance. Both entries describe projectiles with the same listed Slash and Puncture damage components. Do not transfer the full-auto critical or status profile to semi-auto.
What practical handling should I expect?
Fusilai has a 6-round magazine, a 0.8-second reload, 100 listed accuracy, and 50 projectile speed in both mode entries. Its description calls it silent and says projectile speed increases when Gara wields it; no amount is specified. It is therefore reasonable to consider for aimed projectile use, with the caveat that moving targets and travel time differ from hitscan weapons.
How do other thrown secondaries differ?
Cantare’s blades lodge in the battlefield and return on reload; returning blades that hit enemies grant allies increased reload speed. Scyotid offers toxin-laced barbs or a cluster snare that pulls nearby enemies together. Hikou is described as trading lower damage than Kunai for greater ammo capacity and fire rate. These offer utility or handling distinct from Fusilai’s two firing modes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Projectiles travel at a listed speed of 50, so they require leading targets at distance.
- Semi-auto mode has much lower listed critical chance and status chance than full-auto.
- The 6-round magazine requires regular reloads during sustained use.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply full-auto mode’s 23% critical chance and 29% status chance to semi-auto mode.
- Do not treat its projectiles as hitscan when aiming at moving targets.
