Understand Gorgon Wraith
Useful when…
- Sustain automatic fire with its 90-round magazine and 13.33 listed shots per second once fully spooled.
- Use its Incarnon Form projectile and separate AoE as distinct attack modes when available.
Normal attack
The fully spooled normal attack is hit-scan automatic fire at 13.33 rounds per second. Each shot deals 22.95 Impact, 2.7 Puncture, and 1.35 Slash damage, with 15% critical chance, a 1.9× critical multiplier, and 21% status chance. Its 90-round magazine matches the standard Gorgon, while its listed reload is 3 seconds and accuracy is 16.67. The description does not remove the normal Gorgon’s spool-up behavior; allow for the short wind-up before full fire rate.
Incarnon attacks
The Incarnon Form is a separate projectile attack at 1 shot per second, with 120 shot speed and flight, dealing 25 Impact, 25 Slash, and 75 Puncture. The Incarnon Form AoE separately deals 750 Heat damage and lists falloff from 0 to 5 with 10% reduction. These attacks are not the same mode as the fully spooled rifle fire; activation details are not supplied.
Choosing a rifle
Compared with the standard Gorgon’s supplied figures, Gorgon Wraith lists higher normal-attack damage, critical multiplier, and status chance, alongside a 3-second rather than 4.2-second reload. Both list a 90-round magazine and a brief spool-up. Latron Wraith instead is described as a semi-automatic rifle and has 26% listed critical chance with a 2.8× multiplier; it offers a different firing style, not the same sustained-fire behavior. The Wraith requires Mastery Rank 7, compared with Rank 3 for the standard Gorgon.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires Mastery Rank 7, above the standard Gorgon’s Rank 3 requirement.
- The normal attack has spool-up and a 3-second reload; Incarnon attacks are separate modes.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the Incarnon projectile or AoE damage applies to the normal rifle attack.
- Expecting the weapon to reach full listed fire rate immediately without its described wind-up.
