Understand Halikar Wraith
Useful when…
- Use the Normal Attack for close-range strikes, with 225 listed damage dominated by Puncture.
- Consider ordinary throws for their separate bounce and recall Blast explosion entries.
- Use charged throws when their higher listed thrown and explosion damage suits the situation and you can account for the 1.2-second charge.
- Keep the glaive's Magnetic slam entries distinct from its Blast throw explosions.
Melee and ordinary throw
The Normal Attack lists 225 damage: 22.5 Impact, 180 Puncture, and about 22.5 Slash. It has 19% critical chance, a 2.3× critical multiplier, and 35% status chance. The ordinary throw is a separate profile: 87.7 each of Impact, Slash, and Puncture, with 21% critical chance, a 2.3× multiplier, and 39% status chance. The bounce explosion lists 329 Blast damage and the recall explosion 658 Blast damage. Both list a 5.1-meter falloff endpoint and 40% reduction.
Charged throw and slams
The charged throw has a 1.2-second charge and lists 421.6 Puncture, 52.7 Impact, and 22.7 Slash damage. It has 21% critical chance, a 2.5× multiplier, and 41% status chance. Its supplied flight value is 40; its unit and practical behavior are not specified. The charged bounce explosion lists 657 Blast damage, while the charged recall explosion lists 1,314 Blast damage. Both list 40% falloff reduction at 5.1 meters. Separately, the Slam Attack entry lists 450 Magnetic damage and the Heavy Slam Attack entry lists 675 Magnetic damage. The top-level heavySlamAttack field lists 900, a distinct field; do not substitute it for the attack entry's value.
Handling and investment
Halikar Wraith has a rank cap of 30, range 1.2, combo duration 5, and follow-through 0.7. It comes with two Madurai polarities and one Naramon polarity, which are relevant when fitting mods into its slots. These facts provide no specific mod recommendations or final-damage estimates. The charged throw's 1.2-second charge is a handling cost to weigh against its listed damage profiles; its listed numbers alone do not establish which mode performs best in a particular encounter.
Related melee options
Standard Halikar is also a glaive and is listed at Mastery Rank 7; its description says it can disarm targets. That comparison does not establish that Halikar Wraith shares this behavior or the same attack profiles. Machete Wraith is a machete, while Tak & Lug is a sword and shield whose description identifies a Heavy Attack shield throw with Blast effects. Their listed types and descriptions point to different handling and attack options, rather than establishing them as direct substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires Mastery Rank 13, compared with Rank 7 for standard Halikar.
- Charged throws have a listed 1.2-second charge.
- Ordinary and charged throw, bounce, recall, and slam entries have different damage profiles; compare the specific mode rather than treating them as one attack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating ordinary throw damage as mostly Puncture; its listed Impact, Slash, and Puncture values are equal.
- Treating bounce and recall explosions as the same profile; their listed damage differs.
- Using the 900 top-level heavySlamAttack field as the Heavy Slam Attack entry, which lists 675 Magnetic damage.
- Assuming the supplied flight values define units or guarantee a particular flight behavior.
- Assuming standard Halikar's disarming behavior applies to Halikar Wraith.
