Understand Machete Wraith
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks when you want the Wraith’s listed Slash-heavy damage and higher critical and status chances than the base Machete.
- Use its distinct slam modes for AoE Impact or Blast damage.
What are its normal-attack strengths?
The normal attack deals 211 total damage, including 147.7 Slash and 31.65 each of Impact and Puncture. It lists 33% status chance, 19% critical chance, and a 2.1× critical multiplier. Attack speed is about 1.08 and listed range is 2.5 m. Compared with the base Machete, the Wraith’s supplied normal-attack figures are higher for damage, critical chance, and status chance; it also requires Mastery Rank 11 rather than Rank 1.
What do its slam modes do?
The standard slam is an AoE Impact attack listed at 240 damage, with 10% status chance and 50% falloff by 8 m. The heavy slam is an AoE Blast attack listed at 360 damage, with 10% status chance and 30% falloff by 9 m. Do not carry the normal attack’s 33% status chance over to either slam mode.
Which alternatives have different handling?
Halikar Wraith is a Rank 13 glaive, Tak & Lug is a Rank 9 sword-and-shield whose unique heavy attack throws its shield, and Ankyros is a Rank 2 fist weapon described as fast but short-ranged. These are useful comparisons only if their weapon type or stated special attack is what you want; their descriptions do not make them direct replacements for a machete.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires Mastery Rank 11.
- Slam attacks have separate damage and status values from normal attacks.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume the Wraith tag or styling establishes an acquisition method.
- Do not use the normal attack’s status chance for slam attacks; each slam lists 10%.
