Understand Harrow
Useful when…
- Providing allies with energy through kills after channeling Thurible.
- Protecting nearby allies and granting Critical Chance through Covenant.
- Boosting reload speed and fire rate while healing from damage dealt.
Effects and conditions
Condemn sends out an energy wave that chains enemies in place; each enemy held reinforces Harrow’s shields. Penance sacrifices Shields to boost Reload Speed and Fire Rate, while converting damage inflicted on enemies into health for Harrow and nearby allies. Thurible channels Harrow’s energy to generate a buff; after the channel, kills grant nearby allies bursts of energy, with a greater reward from channeling more energy and extra energy from weak-point kills. Covenant protects nearby allies with an energy force that absorbs all damage and converts it into a Critical Chance bonus for those covered; weak-point hits are amplified further. Harrow’s passive doubles overshield capacity and starts missions at maximum energy.
Practical play and investment
Harrow’s support improves when you can keep engaging enemies: Penance turns damage dealt into health, while Thurible requires kills after its channel to distribute energy. Weak-point accuracy adds value to both Thurible and Covenant. Condemn can replenish shields by holding multiple enemies, and those shields can then support Penance’s sacrifice. Harrow has 270 Health, 455 Shields, and 185 Armor, with Vazarin and Naramon polarities and a Naramon aura polarity.
Limits and comparison
Thurible asks for channeling before its kill-triggered energy returns, so it does not provide the described bursts merely by being active. Penance spends Shields, making Condemn’s shield reinforcement relevant to the sequence of actions. Covenant’s protection and bonus apply to nearby allies under its effect, and its extra weak-point amplification has a specific accuracy condition. Harrow Prime has the same listed abilities and passive, with 640 Shields rather than 455 and an added Madurai polarity. Voruna and Caliban appear in the comparison set, but their descriptions emphasize different roles and do not establish equivalent energy and critical-hit support.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Thurible requires channeling and subsequent kills to distribute energy.
- Penance spends Shields, so shield management matters.
- Covenant’s strongest described weak-point benefit depends on accurate weak-point hits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Thurible to grant energy before completing its channel and securing kills.
- Using Penance without accounting for its Shield sacrifice.
- Assuming Covenant’s weak-point amplification applies without weak-point hits.
