Understand Khora Prime
Useful when…
- Catch clustered enemies with Ensnare and maintain the trap with Whipclaw.
- Use Strangledome to restrain enemies, then strike the dome.
- Choose Venari’s Attack, Protect, or Heal posture to suit the encounter.
Abilities and interactions
Whipclaw’s stats benefit from its equipped mods. Ensnare binds a target and entangles nearby enemies; Whipclaw refreshes the trap so it can capture more foes. Venari can focus on a target, and holding the ability cycles between Attack, Protect, and Heal. If Venari is killed, use the ability to revive her instantly. Strangledome catches enemies within or approaching its chain dome; foes outside may shoot those trapped. Whipclaw striking the dome further damages the captured enemies. Venari also provides a passive speed boost while active, although its value and respawn timing are not specified.
Practical use and build
Ensnare is the direct tool for binding a target and drawing nearby enemies into control. Whipclaw can refresh it, while Strangledome offers a separate area trap and an explicit Whipclaw interaction. If Whipclaw is your damage focus, its equipped mods matter. Khora Prime’s listed baseline is 365 Health, 365 Shields, 345 Armor, and 175 Power. Her starting polarities are Madurai, Vazarin, and Naramon, with a Vazarin Aura polarity; these can inform slot planning but do not mandate a particular build.
Prime comparison
Compared with regular Khora’s listed baseline of 365 Health, 270 Shields, and 290 Armor, Khora Prime lists the same Health, 365 Shields, and 345 Armor. The Prime also lists 175 rather than 140 Power and has an additional Vazarin polarity. Both descriptions list the same ability interactions. These stat and polarity differences are useful when comparing builds, but do not by themselves determine whether switching is worth your resources.
Other approaches and cautions
Gara’s description focuses on glass abilities, survivability, and damage; Atlas’s focuses on high damage and terrestrial elements. Neither comparison establishes Khora Prime’s companion and Whipclaw control loop. Remember that Strangledome can draw fire from outside enemies onto trapped allies, and that the provided passive speed and respawn values are unresolved.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Whipclaw relies on its equipped mods for its listed stat boost.
- Strangledome can expose trapped allies to fire from outside enemies.
- Prime stat and polarity differences do not establish a universal upgrade requirement.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Failing to mod Whipclaw when relying on its damage.
- Overlooking outside enemy fire against targets caught in Strangledome.
- Assuming the Prime label alone makes it necessary to replace regular Khora.
