Understand Korumm
Useful when…
- Melee builds that value 2.9 m listed reach and frequent normal-attack status.
- Situations where you can use its Tactical Combo slam for a large electricity area hit.
Normal attacks and Tactical Combo
Normal attacks list 260 damage split evenly between Puncture and Slash at 104 each, plus 52 Impact. They have 24% critical chance, a 2.2× critical multiplier, and 30% status chance. The Tactical Combo Slam is a separate area attack: it deals 1,040 Electricity, lists 50% status chance and 0% critical chance, and has no falloff through its listed 10 m range. Do not assign the normal attack’s critical stats to this combo mode.
Regular slams and handling
The regular slam is an area attack dealing 520 Blast, with 50% damage reduction at 7 m. Heavy slam is a separate area attack dealing 780 Blast, with 30% reduction at 8 m. Korumm has 2.9 m listed range, 1.0 attack speed, a 0.9 s heavy-attack wind-up, and a 5 s combo duration. Its 30% listed overall proc chance matches the normal attack’s 30% status chance, not the Tactical Combo’s 50%.
Investment and alternatives
Korumm requires Mastery Rank 13 and has one Madurai polarity. Consider the Azothane if its own block-and-melee shockwave mechanic fits your play: its description says that action damages nearby enemies and adds to combo. Verdilac instead has a Tactical Combo that sends a wide energy wave with each stroke. Their triggers and attack behavior differ from Korumm’s planted-trident electricity slam.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The distinctive Tactical Combo has no listed critical chance, unlike normal attacks.
- Regular and heavy slams lose damage with distance; the Tactical Combo has a different, non-falloff profile.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not use normal-attack critical stats for the Tactical Combo Slam.
- Do not confuse the Tactical Combo’s no-falloff area attack with regular or heavy slam falloff.
