Understand Mios
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for a blade-and-whip profile with mixed physical damage and 25% status chance.
- Use standard or heavy slams for separate Toxin AoE attacks.
What does its normal attack do?
Normal attacks list 177 total damage, split among 79.65 Slash, 53.1 Impact, and 44.25 Puncture. They have 19% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 25% status chance. Listed attack speed is about 1.08, range is 2.5 m, and heavy-attack wind-up is 0.4 seconds.
How do the slam attacks differ?
The standard slam is an AoE Toxin attack listed at 354 damage, with 10% status chance and 50% falloff by 7 m. The heavy slam is an AoE Toxin attack listed at 531 damage, with 10% status chance and 30% falloff by 8 m. Both have separate values from the normal attack’s 25% status chance.
Which related weapons have different profiles?
Galvacord and Atterax are whips, while Ceti Lacera is another blade and whip. Ceti Lacera’s comparison description says it is modified for nimbleness and lethality, but provides no numeric attack details. These comparisons can help distinguish weapon type and stated intent; they do not establish a mechanical upgrade over Mios.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Normal attack damage is divided among three physical types rather than concentrated in one.
- Slam status chance is 10%, lower than the listed normal-attack chance.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not apply normal-attack status chance to its slam attacks.
- Do not infer numeric performance from Ceti Lacera’s descriptive comparison alone.
