Understand Nautilus Prime
Useful when…
- Equipping Auto Omni for a chance to repair nearby Railjack hull damage and extinguish fires.
- Using Cordon to cluster enemies around a target for easier targeting.
Effects and conditions
Nautilus Prime’s compatible Precepts are mods, so their effects require equipping them. Auto Omni has a 20-second cooldown: at rank 0 it has a 17% chance to repair nearby Railjack hull damage and extinguish fires on Railjack; at rank 5 its repair chance is 100%. Cordon clusters enemies within range of a target. Its range is 5 m at rank 0 and 30 m at rank 5, with a 15-second cooldown.
Practical use and priorities
Equip Auto Omni when Railjack repair and fire response are the reason you bring Nautilus Prime; raising its rank increases the listed repair chance. Equip Cordon when grouping enemies is more useful, and rank it to expand its range. The two Precepts address different situations, so investment depends on whether Railjack support or combat grouping matters more to your play.
Stats and alternatives
Nautilus Prime has 560 health, 350 shields, and 175 armor. Its five listed polarities are four Penjaga and one Vazarin. Standard Nautilus has the same listed health, 250 shields, and 80 armor. Helios Prime is described as a knowledge-focused protector with Deconstructor Prime; Dethcube Prime as lethal support with Vaporize and Deth Machine Rifle Prime. Those descriptions identify different companion roles, not replacements for Nautilus Prime’s listed Railjack and grouping Precepts.
Common mistakes
Do not treat Auto Omni or Cordon as innate, always-active abilities; equip the relevant Precept. At Auto Omni rank 0, repair is a 17% chance rather than a guarantee. Cordon’s 30 m range is its rank 5 value, not its rank 0 range.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its Railjack repair and enemy grouping depend on equipping their respective Precepts.
- Auto Omni begins at a 17% repair chance at rank 0; Cordon begins with a 5 m range.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming a Prime variant changes the compatible Precept conditions.
- Counting rank 5’s 100% repair chance or 30 m Cordon range at lower ranks.
