Understand Prisma Lenz
Useful when…
- Charged projectile use when there is time to draw and place an explosive shot.
- Area attack use while accounting for the listed blast falloff.
What happens on a charged shot?
The Charged Shot is a projectile with 1.2-second charge time and deals 56 Impact. The Initial Blast is a separate AoE entry dealing 10 Cold, with 70% reduction by 7.2 m. Bubble Collapse is another separate AoE entry dealing 740 Blast, also with 70% reduction by 7.2 m. All three entries list 50% critical chance, 2.8× critical multiplier, and 16% status chance. The listed fire rate is 1 per second, but the attack entries do not explain explosion timing or whether all effects always strike the same target.
How does it handle?
The bow has a Charge trigger, one-round magazine, and 0.6-second reload. It requires Mastery Rank 12 and lists two Naramon polarities and one Madurai polarity. These can inform compatible mod placement; no specific mod bonus or final damage result follows from them. Prisma and Baro tags do not guarantee current availability.
What alternatives have distinct uses?
The standard Lenz is described as delivering an icy pulse followed by a conventional explosion and converting excess ammo pickups into Lenz charges. Evensong is described as preventing enemies from hurting allies while wounded by its arrows, with kills empowering ally weapons with Multishot. Cernos is described as a high-impact bow for highly shielded enemies. These effects differ from Prisma Lenz's listed charged multi-part blast.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The listed charge time is 1.2 seconds, so shots are not immediate.
- The AoE entries have substantial falloff; do not assume the listed center damage applies across the full radius.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not add the projectile, initial blast, and bubble-collapse figures into a single guaranteed hit.
- Do not overlook the listed 70% falloff reduction at 7.2 m for both AoE attacks.
