Prova GUIDE

Understand Prova

Useful when…

  • Use the Normal Attack profile when its listed Impact and Electricity damage are relevant.
  • Consider Slam or Heavy Slam attacks when their separate area damage and falloff profiles suit the encounter.

Normal Attack handling and damage

The Normal Attack lists speed 1, 52 Impact damage, and 76 Electricity damage. It has 14% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 16% status chance. Listed handling properties are 2.5 m range, 0.7 follow-through, and a 55° blocking angle. The attack also lists a slide value of 256; this is separate from its damage values.

Slam attack profiles

Slam Attack is listed with 256 Electricity damage and falloff from 0 to 8 m, with a 50% reduction. Heavy Slam Attack is a separate entry: it lists 384 Electricity damage and falloff from 0 to 9 m, with a 30% reduction. Each lists 14% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 16% status chance. Keep these profiles distinct from the Normal Attack when comparing damage.

When to consider it

Prova's listed profiles are for melee use, with the Normal Attack combining Impact and Electricity and both slam entries listing Electricity area damage. Consider it when you expect to fight at close range and can make use of those attack modes. The supplied rifle comparisons describe different ranged handling: Trumna has a primary fire that fuels a ricocheting explosive secondary fire, Amprex fires a continuous beam that arcs among nearby enemies, and Gorgon reaches high fire rate after a short wind-up. These describe alternatives for ranged combat, not direct substitutes or a ranking against Prova.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The Normal Attack lists both Impact and Electricity damage; the two slam entries list Electricity damage.
  • Slam and Heavy Slam have different listed damage, falloff distances, and reductions.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Do not combine Normal Attack damage with either slam entry when reading the listed profiles.
  • Do not treat the falloff reduction as extra damage or assume the slam profiles have the Normal Attack's Impact damage.
