Understand Stahlta
Useful when…
- Use automatic fire for repeated projectile shots without charging.
- Use alternate fire when its charged projectile and separate AoE profile fit the situation.
Automatic mode
The Auto attack is a projectile at 6 shots per second. Each shot lists 52 damage: 28.08 Slash, 16.64 Puncture, and 7.28 Impact, with 24% critical chance, a 1.8× multiplier, and 22% status chance. The rifle has a 40-round magazine and a 1.4-second reload.
Charged alternate fire
Alt-Fire has a listed 1.6-second charge time and fires at 0.667 shots per second. Its projectile component lists 120 Impact, 300 Slash, and 180 Puncture, with 40% critical chance, a 3× multiplier, and 32% status chance. The separate Alt-Fire AoE lists 1,200 Radiation damage, 50% status chance, and 70% falloff reduction out to 7.2 units.
Other rifle mechanics
Ambassador alternates charged explosive shots and rapid electrical assault fire; Aeolak is described as automatic radiation fire with a charged explosive alternate shot. Argonak supports single-fire and automatic modes. These descriptions identify different firing patterns, not direct upgrades over Stahlta.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Automatic fire has a higher cadence; alternate fire has a 1.6-second charge and a separate AoE component.
- The AoE lists 70% falloff reduction out to 7.2 units.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying alternate-fire critical stats to automatic shots.
- Treating the projectile and AoE components as one attack profile.
- Describing automatic fire as steady without qualification.
