Understand Sunika Kubrow
Useful when…
- Combat where crowd knockdowns are useful
- Encounters with Overguard-protected Eximus, if Unleashed is equipped
What do its compatible precepts do?
Sunika’s effects described here come from compatible precepts, not innate abilities. Savagery makes it rush enemies, deal damage, and knock them down: at rank 0 it targets 3 enemies within 5 m, while rank 5 reaches 8 enemies within 10 m. Unleashed directs it to hunt Eximus protected by Overguard within 35 m at rank 0 or 60 m at rank 5, and grants +300% damage against Overguard. Equip the relevant precept for either effect.
When is it useful?
Savagery’s knockdowns can help interrupt and control several nearby enemies, with its larger target count and range at maximum rank. Unleashed is more specific: its Overguard damage bonus applies against Overguard, and its hunting condition names Eximus units protected by it. These precepts are practical choices when those conditions matter in the mission; neither effect should be assumed active unless its mod is equipped.
How does it compare?
Its listed defenses are higher than those of the comparison Adarza Kavat: Sunika has 830 Health and 350 Shield versus 310 Health and 270 Shield, with 300 Armor listed for both. The comparison data describes Adarza as offering increased critical chance and punishing attackers, while Sunika’s listed compatible precepts provide knockdowns or a conditional Overguard-focused hunt. Choose between these specific supported roles rather than treating either companion as a universal upgrade.
What should you avoid assuming?
Do not treat Savagery or Unleashed as passive species abilities: equip the corresponding precept. Unleashed’s +300% damage is specifically against Overguard, not a general damage increase. Savagery’s listed target count and range differ by rank, so do not apply its rank-5 coverage to an unranked mod.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Savagery provides nearby crowd control, while Unleashed is focused on Overguard-protected Eximus.
- Sunika has higher listed Health and Shield than the comparison Adarza Kavat, whose described benefit instead centers on critical chance and punishing attackers.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting either compatible precept effect without equipping that mod.
- Applying Unleashed’s +300% damage outside its stated Overguard condition.
- Assuming Savagery’s rank-5 range and target count at lower rank.
