Understand Temple
Useful when…
- Use Pyrotechnics and Overdrive for their described Heat attacks.
- Use Ripper’s Wail for brief invulnerability and healing; its Backbeat version extends invulnerability.
- Build a Backbeat charge to use Exalted Solo and change Lizzie’s elemental damage type while aiming.
Abilities and Backbeat
Pyrotechnics creates Heat-damage pillars against targeted enemies. Overdrive creates a damaging Heat wave and increases enemies’ vulnerability to Critical Chance. Their Backbeat descriptions each state that Ripper’s Wail gains Duration and Heat Damage when it deals damage; this describes a bonus to Ripper’s Wail, not an effect that activates or guarantees damage from it. Ripper’s Wail briefly makes Temple invulnerable and heals them. A Backbeat-timed ability that successfully hits enemies adds Heat damage to weapons of allies in Affinity Range. Exalted Solo requires a Backbeat charge; its timed version consumes no Energy.
Practical role
Temple’s kit combines Heat offense with brief self-healing and invulnerability, plus a conditional Heat bonus for nearby allies’ weapons. Exalted Solo is a distinct weapon mode: while aiming, Lizzie fires elemental sound waves, and ability controls change the damage type.
Stats and build details
Temple has 405 Health, 225 Shields and 325 Armor. Her listed mod polarities are Madurai and Vazarin, with a Naramon aura polarity. The passive’s Ability Efficiency increase is described with an unresolved value, so its percentage cannot be specified.
Conditions to keep in mind
The ally weapon Heat bonus requires a Backbeat-timed ability to successfully hit enemies while allies are in Affinity Range. Exalted Solo needs a built charge, and its no-Energy effect is specified for the timed version. The Backbeat descriptions mention Ripper’s Wail gaining Duration and Heat Damage when it deals damage; they do not say Pyrotechnics or Overdrive activates Ripper’s Wail.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Backbeat timing is required for the described timed effects.
- Ally weapon Heat requires a successful timed ability hit and allies in Affinity Range.
- Exalted Solo needs a built charge; its no-Energy effect is specified only for its timed version.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the unresolved Ability Efficiency value as a known percentage.
- Expecting ally weapon Heat without a successful Backbeat-timed hit and allies in Affinity Range.
- Assuming Pyrotechnics or Overdrive activates Ripper’s Wail.
