Understand Vasca Kavat
Useful when…
- Combat where its equipped Draining Bite can restore the Kavat’s Health
- Missions where an equipped Transfusion may help recover from bleeding out
What do its compatible precepts do?
The listed effects require their compatible precepts. Draining Bite makes the Vasca Kavat inflict Slash and restore its own Health: at rank 0 it applies 2 Slash stacks at 37.5% of its melee damage and restores 2% Health; at rank 3 it applies 5 stacks at 150% of melee damage and restores 10% Health. Transfusion triggers when its Master is bleeding out: the Kavat sacrifices 80% of its Health at rank 0 or 20% at rank 3 to raise them.
When should you consider it?
Draining Bite is the direct fit when you want a melee-triggered self-heal for the companion: its listed Slash stacks, damage fraction, and Health restoration all rise with rank. Transfusion addresses a different situation: it applies only when the Master is bleeding out, and the Kavat gives up some of its own Health to raise them. Equip the specific precept for the effect you want; the listed effects are not automatic properties of every Vasca Kavat.
How does it compare?
Vasca’s listed defenses are 310 Health, 270 Shield, and 300 Armor. These match the comparison Adarza Kavat’s listed values; the comparison describes Adarza as offering increased critical chance and punishing attackers. The comparison Sahasa Kubrow has 940 Health and 290 Shield, while Raksa Kubrow has 750 Health and 390 Shield; their descriptions point to supply-finding and defensive support, respectively. Those are distinct listed roles, not evidence that one companion replaces Vasca’s revival or self-heal effects.
What limitations matter?
Transfusion needs the Master to be bleeding out and costs the Kavat a portion of its Health; its listed rank-3 cost is lower than rank 0. Draining Bite’s stated healing is for the Vasca Kavat itself. Do not mistake that for direct healing of the Master, or expect either effect without equipping its compatible precept.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Draining Bite restores the companion’s Health during its described melee effect; Transfusion is conditional on the Master bleeding out and spends companion Health to raise them.
- The comparison Adarza shares Vasca’s listed Health, Shield, and Armor but is described with a different combat benefit.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting Draining Bite’s Health restoration to heal the Master; its stated restoration is to the Kavat.
- Expecting Transfusion to trigger before the Master is bleeding out.
- Ignoring that Transfusion sacrifices the Kavat’s Health, or assuming the rank-0 and rank-3 costs are the same.
