Understand Finishing Touch
Useful when…
- Increase the finisher damage stat on a compatible melee weapon.
- Use alongside a separate way to open enemies to finishers if that is needed by your setup.
Effect and scope
At rank 5, Finishing Touch grants +90% Finisher Damage; it begins at +15% and reaches +60% at rank 3. It is a standard melee mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 2. The stated effect boosts finisher damage, not ordinary melee hits.
Use it with a finisher setup
Finishing Touch does not list an effect that opens enemies to finishers. The supplied Parry comparisons do: Flawed Parry lists a 48% chance after the Warframe blocks melee, while Parry lists 96% under the same stated condition. Those mods provide an opening condition, not a replacement description for Finishing Touch’s finisher damage bonus.
Rank tradeoff
Fusion examples list 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits from rank 4 to 5. Rank 3 supplies +60% Finisher Damage; decide whether the additional listed bonus warrants the higher later-step cost for your finisher-focused use.
Related finisher mod and source
Covert Lethality lists +100% Finisher Damage and +16 Initial Combo, but it is a different melee mod with its own stated stats. The supplied drop list for Finishing Touch names Corrupted Butcher and Corrupted Lancer, plus Duviri/Endless normal Tier 1 and Tier 3 rewards.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Only applies to finisher damage, so its relevance depends on performing finishers.
- Does not itself provide an opening-to-finisher effect.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the mod to open enemies to finishers.
- Applying its finisher bonus to ordinary melee attacks.
