Understand Flawed Flame Repellent
Useful when…
- Use when a small Heat Resistance bonus is useful and its lower base drain is valuable.
Effect and constraints
This flawed standard-slot Warframe mod has Vazarin polarity and base drain 2. It grants +5% Heat Resistance at rank 0, +15% at rank 2, and +20% at rank 3. It is explicitly incompatible with the standard Flame Repellent mod.
Investment and comparison
Its listed rank-up costs are 10 Endo and 483 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 1 to 2, and 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from rank 2 to 3. The standard Flame Repellent reaches +60% Heat Resistance at rank 5 but has base drain 4, so the choice is between this mod’s lower drain and capped resistance and the standard mod’s higher listed resistance. Adaptation is another option only if its conditional resistance fits: it responds to damage received, stacking resistance to that type for 20 seconds up to 90%.
Acquisition
No drop sources are listed for Flawed Flame Repellent.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It caps at +20% Heat Resistance, below the standard mod’s listed +60%.
- It has lower base drain than the standard version but cannot be equipped alongside it.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting it to reach the standard mod’s resistance cap.
- Trying to equip both versions at once.
