Effect and compatibility
Flechette is a standard shotgun mod with Naramon polarity and base drain 4. It provides +15% Puncture at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at maximum rank 5. It cannot be equipped together with Flawed Flechette.
Rank costs and alternatives
Listed costs include 10 Endo and 483 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 160 Endo and 7,728 Credits from rank 4 to 5. The last two ranks take it from the listed +60% at rank 3 to +90% at rank 5. Accelerated Blast adds +60% Fire Rate alongside +60% Puncture, while Amalgam Shotgun Barrage adds +85% Fire Rate and +45% Revive Speed instead of a Puncture bonus. Consider those when their additional listed effects better match the build; they have different drain and polarity details.
Acquisition
The listed sources include Ancient Disruptor, Brood Mother and its Deimos variants, Shield Lancer variants, and several other named enemies. The listed chance is 0.76% for each listed source.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- It adds Puncture but no other stated bonus.
- Its maximum rank requires more investment than stopping at rank 3, where the mod already grants the listed +60%.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the listed Puncture bonus as an increase to total damage by the same percentage.
- Equipping it with Flawed Flechette, which is incompatible.
