Plexus Forward Artillery damage mod

Released Dec 13, 2019

Forward Artillery increases damage from the Railjack’s Forward Artillery. Consider it if you use that weapon and want to invest a Plexus slot in its damage.

Understand Forward Artillery

Useful when…

  • Increase the listed damage bonus for Forward Artillery.
  • Use when Forward Artillery damage is more relevant to your setup than the listed competing Plexus effects.

Effect and scope

It increases Forward Artillery Damage: +9.1% at rank 0, +54.5% at rank 5, and +100% at rank 10. The bonus is specific to Forward Artillery; it does not claim to increase turret damage or Railjack speed. These mod values are not a calculation of final damage.

Plexus slot and comparisons

This standard Plexus mod has Madurai polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 10. Artillery Cheap Shot gives a chance for Forward Artillery not to consume Dome Charges; Conic Nozzle increases Railjack speed; Crimson Fugue adds turret damage after enemies are destroyed, up to its listed stack cap. Those effects address ammunition use, movement, and turret damage respectively, rather than Forward Artillery’s listed damage bonus.

Rank costs and source

The mod has a steep late-rank cost: the listed rank 5 to 6 step costs 960 Endo and 46,368 Credits, and rank 9 to 10 costs 15,360 Endo and 741,888 Credits. Rank 5 already grants +54.5%; weigh later gains against the escalating costs. The supplied drop list names Kosma Cutter and several other Railjack enemy types.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Specializes in Forward Artillery rather than the turret or piloting effects shown in comparisons.
  • Late rank costs rise sharply.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating +100% as a stated final damage number rather than the mod’s bonus.
  • Investing in high ranks without considering the sharply rising listed costs.
