Frigid Blast is a Standard shotgun mod for a standard mod slot. At maximum rank it grants +60% Cold and +60% Status Chance. It has Madurai polarity and base drain 4. The listed bonuses describe the mod's contribution; they do not establish a weapon's final damage or status behavior by themselves.
Ranks and investment
The mod reaches rank 3. Rank 0 provides +15% Cold and +15% Status Chance; rank 2 provides +45% to each; rank 3 provides +60% to each. Its three listed rank steps cost 30/1,449, 60/2,898, and 120/5,796 Endo/Credits. Because both effects scale together, rank it according to how much of each bonus the build needs and the resources available.
Alternatives and acquisition
Flawed Shotgun Savvy provides Status Chance only and is a Flawed variant. Galvanized Savvy offers Status Chance plus a kill-triggered damage effect that depends on status types affecting the target. Magnetic Welt has a different condition: Impact Status Effects can trigger Magnetic Status. These alternatives are not equivalent to Frigid Blast's Cold damage bonus.
