Effects and compatibility
Hastened Deflection is a Beast mod with Vazarin polarity, 4 base drain, and a standard slot. At rank 0 it gives +15% Shield Recharge and -7.5% Shield Recharge Delay; at rank 3, +60% and -30%; at rank 5, +90% and -45%. It improves recharge behavior rather than adding shield capacity.
Ranks and investment
This mod has five ranks. Listed fusion steps cost 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits from rank 4 to 5. Higher ranks improve both bonuses, but require more Endo and Credits; rank it according to the companion's shield-focused needs and available capacity.
Other companion functions
Shelter creates a shield around the player while reviving fallen allies. Fetch detects and collects items, including mods, within its listed 13.5 m gather-link. Hunter Command makes the companion attack an enemy for 6 seconds after a Slash Status is applied. These support different situations and do not change the Beast's shield recharge statistics in the way Hastened Deflection does.
Limitations and tradeoffs

- Reading the recharge bonus as additional shield capacity.
