Understand Hunter Recovery
Useful when…
- Add healing tied to Companion damage dealt.
- Rank it when the healing fraction is worth the mod investment.
Healing effect
The Warframe is healed for a share of Companion damage dealt: 5% at rank 0, 20% at rank 3, and 30% at maximum rank. The supplied effect does not specify a separate trigger beyond Companion damage dealt.
Fit and investment
This is a standard Beast mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. Raising its rank increases the healing fraction; later fusion steps cost more, so rank it according to how much healing the Companion’s damage provides in your setup.
Different Companion functions
Fetch detects and collects items within 13.5m. Hunter Command directs Companion attacks after you apply Slash Status, while Tandem Bond connects Companion melee hits and Heavy Attacks to combo-related effects. These support different goals and do not reproduce Hunter Recovery’s damage-based healing.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Healing scales with Companion damage dealt, so limited Companion damage also limits the effect.
- Ranking improves the healing share but costs more fusion resources at later steps.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating it as unconditional healing independent of Companion damage.
- Confusing it with Companion collection or attack-command effects.
