Useful when…
- Add a modest Heat bonus to a compatible shotgun when the Flawed version is available.
Effect and fit
This Flawed standard-slot shotgun mod has Naramon polarity, base drain 4, and a maximum rank of 3. Its Heat bonus rises from +10% at rank 0 to +40% at rank 3. It is incompatible with Incendiary Coat.
Rank investment
Each rank increases the Heat bonus, with increasing fusion costs. The maximum is +40%; weigh the smaller Flawed mod’s capacity cost and bonus against other shotgun upgrades before spending resources to max it.
Alternatives and exclusion
Standard Incendiary Coat reaches +90% Heat at rank 5, but it cannot be equipped alongside this Flawed version. Accelerated Blast instead gives +60% Fire Rate and +60% Puncture; Amalgam Shotgun Barrage gives +85% Fire Rate and +45% Revive Speed. Those mods have distinct effects and do not duplicate this Heat bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its maximum Heat bonus is lower than the standard version’s listed maximum.
- The Flawed and standard versions are explicitly incompatible.
