Understand Loose Hatch
Useful when…
- Reducing reload downtime in a Conclave Assault Rifle setup.
- Choosing a Naramon-polarity handling mod when the recoil penalty is manageable.
Effect by rank
Loose Hatch grants +5% Reload Speed and +8.3% Weapon Recoil at rank 0, +20% and +33.3% at rank 3, and +30% and +50% at rank 5. The benefit and penalty rise together; assess the added recoil as part of the same choice as reload speed.
Compatibility and related handling choices
This is a standard-slot Conclave Assault Rifle mod with Naramon polarity and base drain 4. It is incompatible with Double Tap, Hydraulic Gauge, Maximum Capacity, and Precision Munition. Hydraulic Gauge offers -60% recoil but -10% magazine capacity; Maximum Capacity adds 30% magazine capacity but reduces reload speed by 15%. Deft Tempo instead grants +10% Mobility for 4 seconds on a headshot, so it has a separate conditional purpose.
Investment and source
It reaches rank 5. Listed costs include 10 Endo and 483 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 40 and 1,932 from rank 2 to 3, and 160 and 7,728 from rank 4 to 5. Higher ranks improve reload speed while worsening recoil, so rank it according to how much recoil your setup can tolerate. The listed source is Conclave, Mistral.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Improved reload speed is paired with increased weapon recoil.
- It is expressly incompatible with four named Assault Rifle mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not evaluate the reload bonus without accounting for the recoil increase.
- Do not assume it can be installed alongside Double Tap, Hydraulic Gauge, Maximum Capacity, or Precision Munition.
