Understand Magnetic Rush
Useful when…
- Adding Magnetic damage and attack speed to a melee weapon.
- Using a Madurai-polarity melee slot to fit a standard mod.
Effects and conditions
At maximum rank, Magnetic Rush gives +60% Magnetic and +20% Attack Speed. Rank 0 gives +15% Magnetic and +5% Attack Speed; rank 2 gives +45% and +15%. The listed bonuses do not specify a weapon’s final damage or attack timing.
Equipment and investment
This Rare, standard melee mod has Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 3. Fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits to reach rank 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits for rank 2, then 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for rank 3. The costs rise with each step, so rank it according to how much you value the paired increases and the available capacity.
Related options have different jobs
Berserker Fury grants +35% Attack Speed for 10 seconds on a melee kill and can stack twice, so its bonus is conditional on getting kills. Amalgam Organ Shatter instead gives +85% Critical Damage and +60% Heavy Attack Wind Up Speed. Dispatch Overdrive is an Exilus mod that grants +60% Movement Speed for 15 seconds on a heavy-attack hit. Each has a distinct effect or trigger; none supplies Magnetic Rush’s same pair of bonuses.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The mod uses a standard slot and base drain 4; its practical value depends on wanting both listed bonuses.
- Berserker Fury requires a melee kill to start its timed Attack Speed bonus; it does not provide Magnetic damage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume Berserker Fury’s kill-triggered bonus is always active.
- Do not confuse Dispatch Overdrive’s movement-speed effect with attack speed.
