Understand Motus Impact
Useful when…
- Use it when you frequently attack with melee while airborne and want more reach on those attacks.
What it affects
Motus Impact adds up to 2 meters to the range of aerial melee attacks at max rank. The effect is limited to aerial attacks; ordinary ground melee attacks are not specified as benefiting. It is a standard Melee mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 3.
Rank investment
Rank 0 adds 0.5 meters, rank 2 adds 1.5 meters, and rank 3 reaches 2 meters. The listed step costs rise from 20 Endo and 966 Credits for the first step to 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits for the final step. A low rank can provide some extra aerial reach if you do not want to pay the full fusion cost.
Related melee effects
Opportunity's Reach gives +3 meters of melee range specifically for Tennokai attacks and also extends the opportunity window; it is not a general replacement for aerial attack range. Flawed Parry and Parry instead concern opening enemies to finishers after the Warframe blocks melee, so they address a different action and result.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The range bonus applies to aerial melee attacks only.
- It uses a standard melee slot and reaches its listed maximum at rank 3.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the added range to affect every melee attack.
- Confusing its aerial range effect with Tennokai range or parry-triggered finishers.
