Understand Necramech Pressure Point
Useful when…
- Add Melee Damage to a Necramech setup that uses melee attacks.
- Compare it with attack-speed or melee-range mods when deciding which melee property to improve.
What does it do?
This standard Necramech mod gives +10% Melee Damage at rank 0, +40% at rank 3, and +60% at rank 5. It increases the listed melee-damage stat; it does not specify a final damage value for any particular attack.
When does it fit?
Consider Pressure Point when Necramech melee damage is a priority. Necramech Fury increases Melee Attack Speed by up to 40% at rank 3, while Necramech Reach adds up to +1 Melee Range at rank 3. Speed and range address different parts of melee use, so they may be more relevant when faster attacks or reaching targets matter more than the listed damage bonus.
How much should you rank it?
It has five ranks, Madurai polarity, and base drain of 4. Rank 3 gives +40% Melee Damage; rank 5 reaches +60%. The listed fusion steps cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits for 0-to-1, 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits for 2-to-3, and 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits for 4-to-5. Rank 3 offers an intermediate value; the final ranks add 20 percentage points at higher listed costs.
What should you avoid assuming?
Do not read its damage bonus as attack speed or added reach. Those are separate effects on Fury and Reach, respectively.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus applies to Melee Damage; it does not increase attack speed or range.
- The last two ranks cost substantially more for the increase from +40% at rank 3 to +60% at rank 5.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the percentage as final damage for a specific melee attack.
- Confusing Melee Damage with attack speed or melee range.
