Understand Neutron Star
Useful when…
- Consider it for a Nova setup using Null Star when its Heat damage and guaranteed status effect are useful.
- Recast while particles remain to make them seek enemies with doubled search radius.
Null Star particle effect
Neutron Star's particles deal Heat damage with a guaranteed status effect within the listed radius. At rank 0, the values are 120 damage in 4 meters; at rank 2, 200 damage in 6 meters; and at rank 3, 240 damage in 8 meters. On recast, remaining particles seek out enemies with doubled search radius.
Rank and mod details
Neutron Star is a Rare standard Nova mod with Zenurik polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 3. The listed fusion steps cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits, then 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits. The shown ranks increase both Heat damage and radius; recast targeting is stated at each shown rank.
Choosing among the listed Nova augments
Molecular Fission describes restoring Null Star charges when primed enemies are killed. Antimatter Absorb augments Antimatter Drop by absorbing enemy bullets within 5 meters to increase the explosion's power. Antimatter Mine is a Conclave Antimatter Drop augment that creates a fully charged stationary orb, which explodes after 6 seconds or near an enemy. These descriptions concern different effects from Neutron Star's Null Star particle effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The listed effect depends on Null Star particles and their interactions with enemies.
- Damage and radius differ by rank; no total damage for a particular setup is specified.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not treat the listed particle damage as a total for a particular build.
- Do not confuse Neutron Star's Null Star effect with the listed Antimatter Drop augments.
