Understand Flawed No Return
Useful when…
- Add a modest Puncture bonus to a compatible pistol while using the Flawed variant.
- Use its lower maximum rank as a limited investment before moving to a standard Puncture mod.
What it does
The mod grants +5% Puncture at rank 0, +15% at rank 2, and +20% at rank 3. This is a listed Puncture bonus, not a statement of the pistol's final damage. It applies to pistols and uses a standard slot.
Rank and investment
It has three upgrade ranks and a base drain of 2 with Naramon polarity. The supplied fusion steps cost 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, then 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits to rank 2, and 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits to rank 3. The final step raises the bonus from +15% to +20%; weigh that incremental gain against other mods competing for capacity.
When to replace it
Standard No Return reaches +90% Puncture at rank 5, while this Flawed version tops out at +20% at rank 3. They are mutually incompatible, so do not try to equip both together. Accelerated Isotope instead offers Radiation and Fire Rate, a different combination rather than a direct Puncture substitute; Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod that reduces zoom while aim gliding and serves a different purpose.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The Flawed version has a lower maximum bonus and fewer ranks than standard No Return.
- Its standard slot competes with other pistol mods for mod capacity.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the listed Puncture percentage is the pistol's final damage increase.
- Trying to equip it alongside standard No Return, which is listed as incompatible.
