Understand Overextended
Useful when…
- Warframe builds that benefit from increased Ability Range and can accommodate lower Ability Strength.
Effect and rank scaling
At maximum rank, Overextended grants +90% Ability Range and -60% Ability Strength. Rank 0 gives +15% Range and -10% Strength; rank 3 gives +60% Range and -40% Strength. Both effects rise together, so ranking it further increases reach while deepening the Strength penalty.
Slot and investment
This is a standard Warframe mod with Vazarin polarity, base drain 6, and maximum rank 5. The rank 4-to-5 step costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. Consider leaving it below maximum if the additional range is useful but the corresponding Strength loss is too costly. No incompatible mod names are specified.
Alternatives by stat priority
Amar’s Hatred grants +15% Ability Strength along with +25% Armor. Archon Intensify gives +30% Strength and can grant another +30% for 10 seconds after an ability restores health. Archon Stretch provides +45% Ability Range and restores +2 Energy/s over 5 seconds when abilities deal Electricity Damage. These offer different stat mixes or conditions; they do not reproduce Overextended’s +90% Range and -60% Strength tradeoff.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Ability Range increases alongside a substantial Ability Strength penalty.
- The largest range increase also applies the largest listed Strength reduction.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ranking it without accounting for the accompanying Ability Strength loss.
- Assuming Archon Stretch or Strength-focused mods reproduce its full range and penalty combination.
