Overloader

Plexus mod that increases maximum Ordnance Munitions.

Released Mar 24, 2020

Overloader raises the maximum amount of Ordnance Munitions you can carry. Consider it when you want greater ammunition capacity; it does not make shots consume less ammunition or travel faster.

Overloader GUIDE

Understand Overloader

Useful when…

  • Railjack combat where increasing the Ordnance Munitions capacity is useful.

Effect and rank scaling

Overloader increases maximum Ordnance Munitions by 12% at rank 0, 37% at rank 2, and 50% at rank 3. This changes capacity, not the chance that an Ordnance shot consumes Munitions. It is a short-rank mod, reaching its listed maximum at rank 3.

Slot and investment

This is a standard Plexus mod with Naramon polarity, base drain 2, and maximum rank 3. The last listed rank step costs 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits. Its lower maximum rank makes the full capacity bonus relatively direct to reach; no incompatible mod names are specified.

Compare other Ordnance effects

Ordnance Cheap Shot gives Ordnance a chance not to consume Munitions, Ordnance Velocity increases projectile speed, and Quicklock reduces Ordnance lock-on time. These affect consumption, travel speed, and lock-on respectively. They are not capacity increases, so choose according to the limitation you want to address.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Adds capacity rather than reducing Munitions consumed by shots.
  • The 50% bonus requires the mod’s maximum rank of 3.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Confusing increased maximum Munitions with a chance for a shot not to consume Munitions.
  • Expecting the mod to change Ordnance projectile speed or lock-on time.
