Understand Precision Conditioning
Useful when…
- Increase listed claw melee damage while converting base Physical Damage to Slash.
- Choose a Physical Damage conversion to Slash instead of the Impact or Puncture conversions on its named alternatives.
What does it change?
At rank 0 it grants +35% Melee Damage and converts all base Physical Damage to Slash. At rank 5 it lists +210%; maximum rank 10 gives +385%, with the same conversion. The conversion concerns base Physical Damage and does not describe conversion of other damage types.
Which equipment and slot?
It is a standard-slot Claws mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 4. Brute Conditioning shares the listed +385% maximum Melee Damage but converts base Physical Damage to Impact; Disabling Conditioning converts it to Puncture. Precision Conditioning is incompatible with both. Assassin Posture is a stance-type comparison that prioritizes Eximus and other high-ranking enemies and lists an Overguard damage bonus, so it serves a different purpose.
How should you rank it?
The damage bonus rises from +35% at rank 0 to +210% at rank 5 and +385% at rank 10. Early upgrades have low listed costs, but the examples show rank 5 to 6 costs 640 Endo and 30,912 Credits, and rank 9 to 10 costs 10,240 Endo and 494,592 Credits. Those steep upper ranks are a substantial investment; pursue them when the additional listed melee damage is worth the cost to your build.
What are the practical limits?
Only base Physical Damage is specified for conversion. Do not assume that all damage on the claws becomes Slash or that the listed melee bonus predicts final damage. Choose only one of the three Conditioning conversions because each is explicitly incompatible with the other two.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its +385% maximum Melee Damage comes with a rank 10 investment whose final example step is very costly.
- It converts base Physical Damage to Slash and cannot be combined with the Impact- or Puncture-converting Conditioning mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the conversion applies to every damage type rather than base Physical Damage.
- Trying to equip it with Brute Conditioning or Disabling Conditioning.
