Understand Flawed Pressure Point
Useful when…
- Add melee damage with a flawed mod while using a melee weapon.
- Use its early ranks when conserving fusion resources is more important than reaching its maximum bonus.
Effect and application
Flawed Pressure Point is a standard-slot melee mod. It increases Melee Damage by +20% at rank 0, +60% at rank 2, and +80% at its maximum rank 3. It does not describe a special enemy condition or trigger.
Ranks and alternatives
The listed rank steps cost 10, 20, and 40 Endo, plus 483, 966, and 1,932 Credits, respectively. That makes the final rank a relatively small listed step, but it still tops out below standard Pressure Point (+120%) and Primed Pressure Point (+165%). Sacrificial Pressure is a separate Umbra-polarity option with +110% Melee Damage and a 1.33× damage modifier against Sentients. These are alternatives, not compatible add-ons: Flawed Pressure Point explicitly lists the named Pressure Point variants among its exclusions.
Limitations
This mod applies to melee weapons and uses a standard slot. Its Flawed variant has a lower maximum bonus than the standard and Primed versions; do not plan to equip it alongside the explicitly excluded Pressure Point variants.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The flawed variant has a lower damage bonus ceiling than standard and Primed Pressure Point.
- Each listed rank step raises the bonus, but higher rank does not change its variant or exclusions.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to equip Flawed Pressure Point with Pressure Point, Primed Pressure Point, or Sacrificial Pressure despite the listed exclusions.
- Assuming its +80% maximum matches the standard or Primed variant.
