Understand Primary Acuity
Useful when…
- Increase damage and Critical Chance specifically on weak-point hits.
- Use when weak-point accuracy matters more to the build than modifying multishot.
Effect and restriction
At maximum rank 10, Primary Acuity grants +350% Weak Point Damage and +350% Weak Point Critical Chance. Rank 0 starts at +32% for each, and rank 5 lists +191% for each. The mod explicitly states that Multishot cannot be modified, a significant build restriction to account for before installing it.
Slot and fusion investment
This Rare rifle mod uses a standard slot, has Naramon polarity, and reaches rank 10. Its listed rank 5-to-6 fusion step costs 960 Endo and 46,368 Credits; rank 9-to-10 costs 15,360 Endo and 741,888 Credits. Lower ranks provide smaller versions of both bonuses, so consider the rising cost alongside the weak-point condition and multishot restriction.
Other critical options
Argon Scope grants +135% Critical Chance when Aiming for 9 seconds after a weak-point hit. Galvanized Scope grants +120% on weak-point hit for 12 seconds, with an additional +40% on weak-point kill for 12 seconds, stacking up to five times. Critical Delay lists +200% Critical Chance and -20% Fire Rate, doubled for bows. These have different trigger conditions or a fire-rate penalty; none should be treated as an automatic substitute for Primary Acuity’s weak-point damage bonus.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its strongest bonuses require weak-point hits.
- The explicit multishot restriction can rule it out for builds that need to modify multishot.
- Maximum rank carries high listed Endo and Credit costs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ignoring the stated restriction that multishot cannot be modified.
- Assuming its critical bonus applies equally to hits that are not weak points.
