Understand Primed Pistol Ammo Mutation

- Converting primary ammo pickups into pistol ammo.
- Using an Exilus slot for ammo support rather than a standard pistol effect.
Effect and progression
At rank 0, it converts primary ammo pickups to 8% of Ammo Pick Up; at rank 5, to 50%; and at rank 10, to 92%. It is a pistol Exilus mod with Naramon polarity, maximum rank 10, and base drain 0. The percentages describe conversion of pickups, not an increase to magazine capacity.
Rank costs and slot choice
Higher ranks convert a larger share of the listed pickup amount. The supplied fusion examples include 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits from rank 5 to 6, and 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits from rank 9 to 10. Its base drain is 0, but the Exilus slot remains an equipment choice; use it when ammo conversion is more useful than another eligible Exilus effect.
Related mods and exclusions
Pistol Ammo Mutation is the standard counterpart, listed at 50% conversion and maximum rank 5; Primed Pistol Ammo Mutation explicitly excludes it. Accelerated Isotope occupies a standard slot and adds Radiation and Fire Rate, so it is a different kind of pistol mod. Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod with an aim-glide zoom effect, not ammo conversion.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The conversion applies to primary ammo pickups; it does not describe changes to magazine capacity.
- Final ranks have high fusion costs, even though the mod has base drain 0.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the conversion percentage as magazine capacity or a damage bonus.
- Expecting conversion from pickups other than primary ammo pickups.
- Equipping the standard Pistol Ammo Mutation with its explicitly incompatible Primed version.
